Sunset Peak

Sunset Peak is the second highest mountain on Lantau Island, just behind Lautau Peak. At 800 meters above sea level, a couple dozen of stone shacks scatter over the highland between Sunset Peak and Yi Tung Shan.

Recent, here is so famous about the Miscanthus (芒草). In Autumn, the Miscanthus grow beautiful and turns into golden yellow. People would go up hill to take photos in front of the seas of golden yellow grassland. 

How to get there?

From starting point: 

MTR Tung Chung Station, Exit B. From the bus terminus next to the MTR station, take bus 11, (or bus 3M from Mui Wo bus terminus if you take a ferry to Mui Wo), to Pak Kung Au. Turn left to The pavilion, and then turn left onto the Lantau Trail, which leads to Sunset Peak.

From end point: 

Take bus 3M to MTR Tung Chung Station or Mui Wo Bus Terminus.

Let's see the photos I took there! 

I went there one of  Sunday in October. There were lots of people going hiking. Actually there are lots of stairs, and therefore it took time to climb up high.

The Miscanthus is so beautiful. I ever slept on a great piece of Miscanthus. 

What a pity~ The weather there was not very good. Maybe it was time for me to have more photo-taking practice. :)

It is also normal for the photographer to chase for the sunrise. Let's see the stunning time-lapse again!
